The Nagano Prefecture or the ‘roof of Japan’ as it is known, is located in the centre of Japan and encompasses the Northern, Central and Southern Alps. Nagano Ski Tours specialises in tours to this area, which includes resorts such a Nozawa Onsen, Hakuba and Shiga Kogen.

All resorts are on the main island of Honshu. It is approximately an 8 hour flight from Australia, 6 hours from Singapore, 4 hours from Hong Kong and 15 hours from Europe to the main International airports of Tokyo and Nagoya. Once you have landed we will have a shuttle bus waiting to take you to your accommodation. The travel time by bus is approximately 5 hours.

  Nozawa Onsen
Nozawa Onsen is one of the classic ski resorts in Japan, it has expanded over many years one of the largest ski areas in the country servicing more than 50 kilometres of trails. From the top of Nozawa Onsen breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding national parks and the Japan Alps are to be had. The village has a great sense of tradition and feeling of Japanese spirit with beautiful old streets and a bustling village full of history, culture and festivals. The village is also famous for its public hot-springs, with more than 30 springs located throughout the resort. Nozawa is the perfect place to take in the Japanese culture and enjoy the awesome skiing and boarding conditions.

The ski season runs from December to April in Nozawa Onsen.

Hakuba
The Hakuba Valley is situated in the heart of the Japan Alps. With over 10 resorts and 200 runs there is a massive variety or trails which will challenge both skiers and snowboarders alike.

After a long day boarding the halfpipes and the terrain parks or skiing the long vertical pitches through the powder snow, you can enjoy an après drink at the end of the day in any number of bars and restaurants.

The ski season runs from December to April in Hakuba.

Shiga Kogen
Shiga Kogen is considered to be the largest ski resort in Japan. There are 21 interlinked resorts all on one lift ticket! With this many resorts Shiga covers a huge area and offers a great diversity of natural terrain.

To cover each of the resorts and each of the runs will take you over 3 days!
The snow season starts in late November and runs through to May, the length of the season can be attributed to the altitude and snow making machines.
